Creating an inclusive online experience
TCPVA is committed to making our website, information and member services accessible to everyone.
Accessibility Statement
Last updated: August 24, 2026
The Toronto Catholic Principals and Vice-Principals’ Association is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible online experience for members, visitors and the wider community.
We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing responsibility. We are working to identify, prevent and remove barriers that may affect how people access information, services and features on tcpva.org.
Our Accessibility Goal
TCPVA aims to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and the applicable requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA).
These guidelines help make online content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning and neurological disabilities.
Accessibility Measures
As part of our ongoing website development and maintenance, TCPVA works to support accessibility by:
- Using clear headings and a logical page structure.
- Providing meaningful alternative text for informative images.
- Maintaining readable colour contrast and text sizing.
- Supporting keyboard navigation.
- Using descriptive link and button text.
- Adding labels and instructions to website forms.
- Avoiding unnecessary motion or flashing content.
- Supporting zoom and responsive viewing on different screen sizes.
- Reviewing new content and website features with accessibility in mind.
Documents and Third-Party Content
Some older documents, third-party tools, embedded content or member-submitted materials may not yet fully meet our accessibility goals. TCPVA may not control the accessibility of content hosted on external websites.
We are working to identify and address accessibility barriers as they are discovered. If you encounter content that you cannot access, please contact us. We will work with you to provide the information in an accessible format or through an appropriate communication method whenever reasonably possible.
Accessibility Feedback
We welcome feedback about the accessibility of tcpva.org. If you experience a barrier, please tell us:
- The webpage, document or feature involved.
- A brief description of the issue.
- The format or type of assistance that would help you access the information.
- Your preferred method of contact, if you would like a response.
TCPVA will review accessibility feedback and respond as reasonably possible. Personal information provided through the feedback process will only be used to respond to the request and address the accessibility concern.
